FEES

The school charges moderate fees and has a flexible and friendly mode of payment. Students are however entreated to make discussions with the Accounts Department regarding payment of fees.

APPLICATION

Prospective students who wish to apply to the Nursing and Midwifery School should:

 ACCOMODATION

At the moment, there is no accommodation for Nursing & Midwifery students on campus. Students however rent rooms in town and nearby locations. Plans are however advanced to increase the hostels to cater for Nursing & Midwifery students.

LIBRARY

There is a modern library at the School (Tim Johnson’s Library Complex). There are modern books references available for students use. There is also E-library available and students can have access to online journals and articles and references. Telemedicine is also available on campus.

FACILITIES

The School has Offices, Computer Lab, skills acquisition rooms (demonstration rooms) for nursing and midwifery, Lecture halls, House of Anatomy, Modern Library Complex, Canteen, ancillary facilities among others that make life comfortable in the school. There is also Family Health Hospital on Campus where various conditions are treated including surgery.

 CLINICAL PRACTICE

The school has Memorandum of understanding with Family Health Hospital, Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, 37 Military Hospital, Police hospital, Ridge Hospital, La General Hospital, LEKMA hospital where students go for clinical practice in these facilities. There is also agreement with the Greater Accra Regional Health Directorate (Nursing & Midwifery) where students are allowed to have their clinical experience in the facilities under Ghana Health Service in the region.
Students can however have their clinical practice in their hospital of choice (private or public), after first semester.

RESEARCH

Students are encouraged to do research in the school. There are dedicated Research tutors that help students in their research work.

STUDENTS LIFE

There is a vibrant Students Representative Council (SRC) that organizes activities such as games, debates, health talks, excursions, and others for students to ease stress and foster unity. The campus is serene and friendly for academic as well as social life. The School is a member of Ghana Association of Health Training Institutions (GAHTI) and students are allowed to partake in its activities.

Students are entreated to obey the School rules and regulations at all times. There is also Wi-Fi available on campus.
